The Moore era comes to a close with this film. AVTAK is a very comic book like Bond film that is on the same level as Diamonds Are Forever, Golden Gun and Moonraker (Although it at least LOOKED better). When I saw it in the theater, I immediately told friends that it reminded me of Goldfinger. The plot is similar and it is a very light hearted movie with a lot of comedy elements.

Reading the newsgroups, I think I'm a minority when I say that I actually think Christopher Walken is a decent Bond villain. He acts insane and is a viable threat to 007 and the world.

Tanya Roberts, who plays Bond-girl Stacey Sutton, is horrible.   Her big lines are stiff and the only memorable thing about her is she would constantly shout "James" like a silent movie actress.
