Live and Let Die, although better than the Bond films
it was sandwiched between, is another low point in the series. Roger Moore's debut left a
lot to be considered, story wise. In fact, there isn't much of a story, just a thread
linking the different stunts.
The pre credits sequence did not feature 007 and
contained no action whatsoever. The two high points for me that immediately come to mind
are:
The theme was nominated for best song in 1973 but lost to "The Way We Were" from
the film of the same name.
The tarot cards used by Solitaire feature a 007 design on their reverse.
This was the first Roger Moore Bond film
The alligator farm that was used in the film was owned by a man
named Kananga (same name as the villain)
