James Bond Roger Moore; Dr Holly Goodhead Lois Chiles; Hugo Drax Michael Lonsdale; Jaws Richard Kiel; Corinne Dufour Corinne Clery; M Bernard Lee; Minister of Defence (Frederick Gray) Geoffrey Keen; Q Desmond Llewelyn; Miss Moneypenny Lois Maxwell; Chang Toshiro Suga; Manuela Emily Bolton; Dolly Blanche Ravalec; Blonde Beauty Irka Bochenko; Colonel C Scott Michael Marshall; Hostess of Private Jet Leila Shenna; Museum Guide Anne Lonberg; Pilot of Private Jet Jean Pierre Castaldi; General Gogol Walter Gotell. After the promising rebound of the series in The Spy Who Loved Me, the Bond franchise takes a big nosedive with Moonraker. The changes in locale make it somewhat difficult to follow. The story is good, but the faults I find with the movie are: Jaws is too industructable Bond going into space should never be done The gadgets are too fantastic Roger Moore's hair never got messed up The film was too over the top Anyone can please disagree with me on this. Trivia

Trivia
The film is called Ian Fleming's Moonraker in the opening credits. Subsequent films would move Fleming's name from the film title to the name of Bond (so that the actor is credited as playing "Ian Fleming's James Bond"). Moonraker features the last appearance of Bernard Lee as M due to Lee's death prior to For Your Eyes Only. Producer Cubby Broccoli apparently appears amongst the crowds in St Marks Square. The entry code to Drax's laboratory in Venice plays the five note tune from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The Moonraker is actually the US Space Shuttle. The comic book-ish style of this film was dispensed with for the next and subsequent films. The Bond films traditionally list the locations that were used during the end credits; Moonraker is no different apart from the fact that the given locations include Outer Space!
