| OK, here is an important step. It's about a very important
part of each web page: TEXT. The first thing to remember about text is you either have
just a few words, or many paragraphs. Having a equal mix just isn't annoying. The next
thing to remember it size. The bigger the text the better. Example: You see, bigger is better. And don't be afraid to make an entire page of the largest size the browser will allow. Scrolling ten pages of Heading 1 is fun and very annoying. The next part is on text color. The most annoying thing about WYSIWYG HTML programs such as Netscape Gold or FrontPage is the ease of making one word many colors. Example: The next annoying thing you can do is to overuse Italics. Italics are meant to draw attention to something specific. So make sure the entire page is in Italics. Then your whole page is something to draw attention to! And lastly, another annoying thing you can do is to misspell words. Who cares if it isn't spelled correcly. Think of it as pauses that your brain ceteches and spends sevral seconds on when you are reeding text. This rates hi on the annoyance scale! |
