Images I have taken with my new Starlight Express MX5 16 bit CCD imager.

This shot of the crescent moon was shot from my home in Frelinghuysen NJ using the MX5 attached to a Nikkor 200mm f/4 telephoto lens.

This image of M-57 was a composite of 5 one minute exposures.  None of the 1 minute exposures were guided, so there is some residual tracking error, but not bad! This image was taken at Wawayanda State Park through a Meade 10" LX 50 using a Celestron f6.3 reducer corrector.

This image of M-82 is another 5 minute shot that is a composite of 5 one minute images.  This image was taken from Frelinghuysen NJ through a Meade 10" LX 50 using an f/5 telecompressor.  Telecompressors may be lousy for regular astrophotos, but they work great with the CCD.

I was really surprised when I saw how well this 5 minute composite exposure of M-51 appeared on my computer screen!  This image was taken from Frelinghuysen NJ through a Meade 10" LX 50 using an f/5 telecompressor.

This shot of M-13 was only a one minute shot due to the fact that I was having some trouble with my drive, and I need to get a guide scope for the LX-50. (the off axis guider does not work well for CCD work).
