Few C.G.S. parishioners remember when we conducted an every-member canvass. A canvass is essential at this time, and not just to discuss pledges. Good Shepherd needs to get in touch with its members and vice versa.

An effective campaign must include both stewardship and evangelism.*

How do we involve everyone? Here is a suggested plan outline:

1. We solicit volunteer families who are willing to host small group gatherings in their homes.

2. We recruit ³listeners² who will be trained in information-gathering, support and anxiety-reduction.

3. Each group will schedule its own gathering by asking each invited member/family to blank out dates they can¹t attend, and choose a mutually agreeable date.

4. We are targeting May for this campaign, so that we have time for training and to get optimal participation before vacation season starts.

*What is evangelism? The National Church has adopted a prayer that goes something like this:

³Lord, make yourself known through me . . . and speak through me, to others.²

Please call Linda Zink (875-3255) or John Tyler (948-5785) if you would like to take part in this important ministry.

Pray for us. We want this to work.
