It all started in 1991 when I was introduced to rocketry by my 8th grade metal shop teacher.
When I got back into rocketry a year or so after the law was changed I
found out
there was life after a : D engine. So I attended my first HP launch at
a near
by fair grounds . Where I launched my first F motor :
a Vulcan (aka: Spock motor) F 80 Hell Fire.
Much to my amazement I saw everything from an Estes A up
to an Aerotech I 357 reload for the first time . Launched by : Bill
Rossi & soon
to be Metra (
Metropolitan Rocket Association ) president . My reaction was :
Man , is that motor loud. I have got to get myself one of those motors!
That year I attended R.A.T.S II ( Roar At The Shore 2 )
in Cedarville, NJ hosted by Garden
State Tripoli .
and saw an M 1939 motor fly for the first time.
From then on I was hooked.
RIGHT Now??
Well , Right now I am a member of 2 national
rocket clubs: Tripoli & National
Association of Rocketry .
I usually fly H to K powered rockets .
Along with allot of clustered rockets .
I'm in the process of planning to build my
Level 3 rocket .
That will consist of
PML parts & will fly on a 3 or 4 inch diameter M motor .
It's kind of hard to do since I have 2 jobs
& maintain 2 web pages .
This one and the METRA Rocket Club to which
I am on the Board Of Directors .
