The Treatment Plant

The liquid phase of the treatment process is an advanced wastewater treatment plant with a design capacity of 4.31 million gallons per day.  Using a modified activated sludge process combined with Micro-screens, Ultra-violet light disinfection and Post aeration the plant  produces an exceptional quality effluent.

A Primary Sedimentation Tank lets smaller particles settle. Scrapers collect the solid matter that remains (called "primary sludge") plus scum or grease floating on top of the tank for processing in our compost facility.

An Aeration tank supplies large amounts of air to a mixture of wastewater, bacteria and other
microorganisms.
