Showing off my 'sit'.                  What I do best - relaxing!              Me and mom at the CT Specialty.

Well, I've made it to 6 months without much mishap.  I'm 25 1/2 inches tall at one end and 24 inches at the other and weigh 60 pounds.  My winter coat is coming in and I must say, I look charming.  My chest has turned black but I still have my fuzzy blond head.   Yes, I've chewed a thing or two (don't tell dad about the family room couch - he isn't very observant) but I'm behaving pretty well.  I'm taking class again with mom and enjoying seeing some of my old friends.  My Berner boyfriend, Hucksley is back and we are just as in love as before.  He has put on a little weight though and can knock me over inspite of the fact that I'm taller.  I need to work on my lunge and have been practicing with mom and the gang.  They aren't very happy though and keep yelling 'OFF'.  They just don't get it.  How else am I to show Hucksley how strong I am if I don't practice.  After all, we practice all the other silly things from class like sitting, staying and coming.  Heck, I've been doing that since I was little.

And now for my stupid pet trick...

Ah, the smell of mums in the fall.                                    So!  I helped myself to a little snack.

I had a real surprise this week.  Some guys came over and put flags all around our house.  One day, I tried to go play at the big house next door and I got zapped.   Boy, did that startle me.  I went running right to mom for help and she just praised me and went on with her business.  The next day, I tried to say 'hi' to my best friend Sally and again got shocked.  Sally then came over to play as usual.  I now understand.  I can't go outside the little flags - what a drag.  I used to be able to go where ever I wanted but now I have to stay home - even if mom leaves without me.  It's not so bad though.  I have a huge yard and mom takes me with her in the car a lot, so I'll just have to wait for my friends to come see me.  A small setback in life, but mom says it's so I can be out with the kids when they play, so it's worth it.  I hate sitting at the window crying while they're out playing my favorite game of 'eat the ball'.

So long for now.  I'll be back to fill you in on what's going on with me here in NJ.  By the way, I much prefer these cool days.  I could lay outside all day and let the wind blow through my hair.  Ah, what a feeling.  Sure beats those hot days from a few months ago.  This is truly leo weather and I'll take this anyday.
