Looking regal at 9 months

Hello again from New Jersey!  I'm still growing but have slowed down a bit.  I've grown about an inch and weigh about 80 pounds.  During the past few months we've discovered that I can't eat anything containing soy or wheat so my diet has changed a bit.  So long to all those tasty dog treats.  Mom has started giving me Power Meatballs with my kibble.  She modified the recipe a bit to account for my allergies but they are still quite tasty.  For training we mainly use raisins and dried liver, which works fine for me.  When I'm especially good the cheese comes out.  I'll do almost anything for cheese.

Nailah at 9 months I've started my third obedience class - Level II.  Yes, they did pass me from Level I, even though I was starting to display some arrogant adolescent behaviour.  Mom is getting smarter at working with me and I can't get away with as much as I would like.   Some days, she even has the nerve to ignore me and boy does that get me working hard for her attention.   She now seems to know when I'm trying to boss her around and she just won't take it.  Sure has taken the air out of my antics.  I'm finding life is more fun if I just do what I'm told - at least most of the time.

Nailah at bus stop
One of the things I enjoy most are my daily walks to the bus stop.  Mom uses these walks to work on my commands but I don't mind.  It means I get to hang out with the kids in my neighborhood.  Here I am sitting nicely with one of my kids.  I usually get to do this three times a day unless mom is busy running somewhere.  When I was just a young pup, I used to jump all over everyone.  But I'm now learning that I get more attention if I sit quietly.  Sometimes this is difficult, but I do try.

Here I am in my new puppy condo.                       Hey, my back end is higher than my front!
Pretty nice, huh?                                                 Will I ever be even?
