Magic and Skills
These are the magic/skills that each character can use as they progress through the game.

Alex

Our favorite hero Alex has many skills and attacks unique to him, and is always the most powerful attacker(after all, he is the Dragon Master).

Explosion Staff 9 Radius attack on an enemy. Only good on groups of enemies huddled together. 10
Flash Cut 18 Attacks everything on screen with the equivilent of a sword dance technique. 12
Vigor 10 Raises attack by 30-40 pts. Very useful 18
Protection of White Dragon 60 Keeps entire party safe from one magic attack Dragon Wings
Anger of Red Dragon 35 Hits all enemies with a good fire attack Dragon Shield
Heal of Blue Dragon 40 Restores HP and Status to all party members Dragon Helmet
Wail of Black Dragon 15 Same as Luna's Escape Song. No expierence but quick battle win. Dragon Armor
 

Luna


Everybody's favorite Damsel-in-Distress is Luna. While she is with you, you can't live without her healing abilities.
Magic Songs

Healing Song 4 Heals one person for about 40 HP. Pretty lame by the time Luna leaves you. 1
Purity Song 4 Sorta like giving Holy Water to someone. (restores status, no HP) 5
Cascade Song 10 By far Luna's most useful spell. Increases attack/defense of a character by 20 pts each. 9
Escape Song 10 Same as Wail of Black Dragon. Escapes battle but no EXP or silver. Doesn't work on a boss 12
Temptation Song 8 Nothing tempting about it, 50 percent chance of putting enemy to sleep. 7
Tranquil Song 15 Casts Healing Song on all party members. Good while fighting the Water Dragon. 10

Nash


Our vain, brash, possibly homosexual(thank god for Mia) magic user is none other than Nash. His skills are an interesting mix of Mia's attacks and Luna's non-healing spells.
Magic Attacks

Spell MP Cost Description
Thunderbolt 15 Attacks on enemy with powerful lighting attack.
Thunderbomb 6 Covers large area with lightning attack. Good in the beginning, sinks from there.
Thunder Thrust 18 By far Nash's best attack. Hits everything on screen with Thunderbolt power attack.
Spark Ball 10 Covers small area with chance at Paralysis. A big waste of MP.
Confusion 7 Could work for you or against you. Good on large amountof weak enemies.
Sleep 9 Same as Luna's Temptation Song, but much better. Why? Since Nash goes first in battles, the enemies will be asleep when the other party memebrs attack,
Magic Box 8 Causes enemy to be silenced. To bad it doesn't work on Ghaleon.
Stone 6 Causes enemies to be "Stoned" Not as funny as it sounds, hardly ever works.

Mia


The shy and petite Mia turns out to be the best magic attacker in the game. Her feelings for Nash probably save us a lot of grief.

Flame Bomb 13 Attacks an individual
Flame Circle 7 Hits several enemies with a fire attack.
Flameria 30 The fire equivilant of blizzard. A downright awesome attack.
Ice Lance 5 Attacks an individual enemy with ice.
Grant Shell 15 Just like a cold version of flame circle.
Blizzard 10 Hits all enemies with a fairly weak ice attack.
Ice Shell 11 Raises defense of a party member.
Power Drive 11 Raises attack of party member.

Jessica


Saucy, hyper, and lusty are all good way to desciribe Jessica. Jessica's skills are very unique- she heals everybody but still maintains the status of being a good attacker. She must be kept alive, so keep her protected, especially late in the game.
Althena's Priestess Magic

Spell MP Cost Description
Heal Litany 4 Restores about 50 HP to one party member.
Calm Litany 15 Restores about 50 HP to all party members. Good in boss battles.
Althena's Litany 12 Slowly regenerates all party members HP. Indespensible, especially in later levels.
Saint Litany 10 Full restoration of one members' HP. Also very useful.
Prayer of Miracle 20 Brings back a knocked out character. Good if you don't want to run the risk of Nall not coming to your aid.
Cleanse Litany 4 Same as Purity Song, above.
Fear Litany 6 Same as Black Dragon Wail or Escape Song, but at few MP. A real steal.
Escape Litany 1 Brings party back to a dungeon enterance. This is very useful say, after you beat the Red Dragon cave and need to get back out when you are bruised and beaten. I am astounded at the amount of people who forget to use this!

Kyle


Kyle, the brash, womanizing drunkard also happens to be in a rocky relationship with Jessica- and is proud of it. His attacks are the non-dragon parts of Alex. He is like this editor- what you see is what you get- he learns no attacks other than the ones he comes with.
Skill Attacks

Power Slash 6 Hits hard with a sword attack.
Power Sweep 9 Radius Skill attack centered around him.
Sonic Riser 14 Hits all enemies in a line with a powerful attack. Kyle's only ranged attack,
Power Up 8 Like Vigor, raises attack by 20-30 pts.
